D’Angelo Russell was named the NBA’s Eastern Conference Player of the Week after he averaged 28 points and seven assists while leading his Brooklyn Nets to a 3-0 record this week.

Russell began his week by dropping 34 points on the Boston Celtics, while also pulling down five rebounds and dishing out seven assists. He followed that up with a 10-point game against the Rockets, with seven assists and three boards.

His best game of the week came against the Magic on Friday, when he dropped 40 points with seven assists and two rebounds to help mount a 21-point comeback against Orlando.

On the season, Russell is averaging 19.0 points per game, 3.7 rebounds and 6.4 assists, and has his Nets in the thick of the Eastern Conference playoff conversation.
